(Matthew 12:43-45), The Lord Jesus said; “When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house UNOCCUPIED, swept clean and put in order. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is WORSE than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.”
A lot of Christians thought that the parable of the sower which the Lord Jesus explained in Matthew 13:19-20, only applies to the unchurch people. They don’t understand that these verses applies to all professing Christians including Pastors and all workers in the Ministry. A lot of Christians had been deceived, thinking, because they are involved enthusiastically in the Church work, they have the Holy Spirit in their lives.
(Matthew 13:19-22), “When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once received it with joy. But since he has no root, he last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. The one who received the seed that feel among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful.” This context applies to all religious people in the church. Not only to the unchurch people but to the unconverted believers in the church. Or all church goers.
Each person has familiar spirit. The reason why it is called familiar, because the demon of that person is familiar of his or her weakness. If one receives the gospel, that evil spirit will come out from that person seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house UNOCCUPIED, swept clean and put in order. (Meaning to say that the HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT SEATING ON THE THRONE OF A PERSON’S HEART.) Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is WORSE than the first. Why is this happening? It is because if a professing Christian is void of the HOLY SPIRIT, evil spirits will dominate his or her life. Let us read the book of Romans.
(Romans 8:5-9), “Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, IF THE SPIRIT OF GOD LIVES IN YOU. AND IF ANYONE DOES NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE DOES NOT BELONG TO CHRIST.” That is why renewing of our minds is a “MUST”.
(Romans 12:1-2), “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
This letter is address to all TRUE BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS as reminder and warning:
(Ephesians 2:1—3), “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler (Satan) of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and THOUGHTS. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.” (Chapter 4:17—19), “So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their THINKING. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their HEARTS. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.”
FROM THE HEART:
(Matthew 15:19), “For out of the HEART proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.”
(Jeremiah 17:9), “The HEART is deceitful above all things, and desperately WICKED: who can know it?” It is God who is asking; that means no one knows it, even ourselves. The solution is to ask God to cleanse our hearts. (1 John 1:9), “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to CLEANSE us from all unrighteousness.”
OUR EYES IS THE GATE OF OUR SOULS:
(Matthew 6:22), “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” Be careful of what you are watching on TV or movies. Beware of watching PORNOGRAPHY in the Internet, it will pollute your mind. The Holy Spirit cannot live in our life.
(1 John 2:15—16), “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” Not only lust of the flesh is to be avoided but the lust of material thing, money, and most importantly, the pride of life is to be avoided because these are the things that a worldly minded man has in mind and who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires. The Holy Spirit cannot live in our life.
A lot of Christians had been deceived, thinking, because they are involved enthusiastically in the Church’s work, they have the Holy Spirit in their lives. I already explained in my sermon that by nature man is a religious being because one of the function of the spirit is to worship. The Catholics, the Cultic religious people seriously go to church too. But the Bible says; if anyone’s mind is controlled by the sinful nature he cannot please God. The sinful mind is hostile to God. So the HOLY SPIRIT cannot live in a sinful man’s heart. IF ANYONE DOES NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE DOES NOT BELONG TO CHRIST.
I am not making up a story, this is true. There was a minister who enthusiastically doing the ministry and who can preach the word energetically but secretly he has been sexually abusing his own daughter. And there are numerous ministers who are livingin sin. Continuously sinning still vibrant in delivering the gospel.
I have just seen the movie “The outlaws and Angels”. At first, I thought it was blasphemy on God’s Word. Because in that movie, the Christian family quotes verses from the Bible and always pray before meal time. They lived in a remote place and it happened that they were hostage by the outlaws. The father was a minister, the mother shows enthusiasm in reading the Bible. Yet they have that terrible secrets. Then tragedy happened because their secret was discovered by the outlaws, that the Father was sexually abused his own two daughters which the mother herself knew. Tragedy after tragedy happened in their lives which the youngest daughter herself killed her own father, sister and mother. Why did this happen?
In my true experience as born again minister I have seen these terrible sins that Christians have continuously committed without repenting from all sins yet are vibrant in delivering the gospel. I am not making up stories. These are all true and it is supposed to be EXPOSED! (Ephesians 5:11-13), “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather EXPOSED them. For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But EVERYTHING EXPOSED by the light becomes visible.”
I have studied different cultic religions and have seen what is happening on the whole Christendom and if the HOLY SPIRIT will open your spiritual eyes you will see and understand what the Lord Jesus said; “When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is WORSE than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” That’s the reason why we see professing Christians, they just become seriously religious but their lives turned from bad to worse.
“THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF OUR LIFE IS VOID OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.”
